What is a service animal?

Service animals are trained to carry out tasks that assist people with visible and invisible disabilities. Service animals should be trained, clean and in good health, and should not exhibit behaviour that is disruptive or aggressive while accompanying the individual they serve.

Service animals should not be distracted by members of the public as they must be attentive to the person they are serving, and alert and aware of their surroundings at all times.
