Wildfires in N.W.T impacting mail delivery in Nunavut communities
Due to the ongoing wildfires in the Northwest Territories, we are experiencing some service disruptions in other communities including regions of Nunavut. Red and Yellow delivery service alerts have been issued for many communities affected by the wildfires.
Canada Post is actively working to put contingency measures in place to ensure we can restore or maintain postal services in Nunavut.
While mail delivery continues wherever possible, customers may experience some delays in receiving items destined to the following Nunavut communities:
- Arctic Bay
- Cape Dorset
- Clyde River
- Eureka
- Gjoa Haven
- Grise Fiord
- Hall Beach
- Igloolik
- Kimmirut
- Kugaaruk
- Kugluktuk
- Pangnirtung
- Pond Inlet
- Qikiqtarjuaq
- Resolute Bay
- Taloyoak
If customers have questions regarding postal services, they can contact Canada Post's Customer Service team (1 866-607-6301) and continue to check Canada Post’s website (Service Alerts) regularly for updates.
