No, once a letter has been mailed, it cannot be intercepted. It must be delivered to the destination address.
If your letter is undeliverable
If your letter is undeliverable because of issues such as a wrong address, no address, or the recipient has moved or passed away, it may be:
-
Returned to you at no charge if a return address appears on the envelope
-
Forwarded to the correct address if the recipient has signed up for Mail Forwarding™ service
Where no return address is provided, we open the letter. If we find a return address within, we return it to you for a fee.
Since we cannot investigate or provide a status on letters sent through regular mail delivery, we cannot provide an estimate of when the letter will be returned to you.
