Medical and biological materials
Medical or biological materials must not be:
- Infectious
- Poisonous
- Otherwise prohibited under:
- The Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act
- The Food and Drugs Act
- Any other applicable law
Examples of medical or biological material:
- Human and animal blood specimens
- Spinal fluid
- Pathological specimens
- Culture specimens (urine, sputum, and swabs)
If allowed for mailing, the medical or biological material must meet packaging and labelling requirements.
