We recommend placing your order for the service 30 days before you plan to move to make sure you don’t miss any of your mail.
If you are placing your order online, the service can take effect as early as 5 days after purchase or 10 days after purchase if you’re a business.
If you are placing your order at the post office, the service can take effect as early as 3 days after purchase for both personal and business needs.
Yes. You can have your mail forwarded from your old address to any valid mailing address in the world.
No. Mail Forwarding is for Lettermail™, Registered Mail™ and magazines only. Parcels and prepaid envelopes are not forwarded through this service. See service limitations for a full list of the types of mail included/excluded.
No. We redirect your mail from your old address to your new address, but we don’t notify anyone of your new address.
You can identify mail that has been forwarded if the new address information is printed at the bottom of the envelope or on a yellow label affixed on the envelope. You may notice that some mail will arrive a couple of days later than you expect if the distance between your two addresses is significant.
